We haven't done a fundraiser in some time for a candidate that we hope will knock off a dreaded Bush Dog so it's time to set our sights on establishment Democrat Dan Lipinski. Markos sets the tone this time with:

Lipinski snaked into office because of his dad (remind you of anyone?) ---is against stem cell research---got a zero rating from Planned Parenthood and NARAL and has joined the Malkin Wing of the immigration party. DailyKos, FDL, DWT, AmericaBlog and C&L are looking to get about 2700 new donations to Pera's campaign during this week.

We're off to a good start so far. We'll be trying to knock out AL Wynn in our next Bush Dog Heavyweight Bout.

Main Japanese opposition party questions reason for supporting the "global war on terror" in parliament - broadcasted on public TV
Japan's prime minister and main opposition rival clashed on Jan. 9th, 2008 over the controversial naval mission in support of U.S.-led forces in Afghanistan as the ruling bloc prepared to force an enabling law through parliament
Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda, squaring off in parliament with Democratic Party leader Ichiro Ozawa for the first time since taking office, praised the navy's refueling mission as helping the global war on terrorism and urged the opposition-controlled upper house to vote on it before parliament ends on Jan. 15.
Ozawa insists the refueling mission violates Japan's pacifist constitution, and has not been approved formally by the United Nationsa position Fukuda flatly rejected.
Ozawas Japan Democratic party which is in the opposition tried to block the resumption of the mission, which supplies fuel and water to US-led forces operating in the Indian Ocean.
It claims that oil supplied by Japanese ships has been diverted for use in operations in Iraq, an accusation the Americans deny.
Pera's website is down. That's never a good sign.
You need to correct the following paragraph as it look like your fundraising for Lipinski:

That's my question. I'm willing to donate when I know something about what I am donating to. I'd like to read a little of Lipinski and Pera before I throw my scarce dollars at a race that means something to this country, be it my state or not.

I went to his website, and I'd like to know what "evil" I'm looking for? I just did a brief search, but from what I viewed, he seemed to be voting with the Democrats on those issues.

Lipinski is truly a tool, but the REAL progressive in that race is the Green Party candidate Jerry Pohlen
