C&L Video Contest: Blue America needs you!

Today marks the first day of a special Blue America video contest at Crooks and Liars. I'm looking for videomakers, animators and flash designers who want to be part of the Blue team and help take Congress back from the rubber stampers. Rickie Lee Jones and Tom Maxwell and Ken Mosher, formerly of the Squirrel Nut Zippers, put together a campaign theme song, "Have you Had Enough." And you can read all about how the song came about here. Mike McIntee has been doing yeoman's work in turning out dozens of customized videos for our campaign.

One of the last ones he did was for Angie Paccione's challenge to right-wing extremist Marilyn Musgrave. take a look:

What we're looking for today is a similar approach, but one that also emphasizes the latest outrage in the Republican Culture of Corruption that ties these rubber stamp incumbents into the Republican leadership's cover-up of the Foley-Predatorgate scandal.

The winner will get his or her video used, at the very least, on Crooks and Liars, Firedoglake and at Down With Tyranny, but probably on many other outlets as well.

The contest winner will also get a large box of CDs, DVDs and books worth hundreds of dollars– plus the satisfaction of being part of a team doing something to save the country from two more years of irresponsible, unaccountable and corrupt government. Just pick any Blue America candidate for the House and do a one-minute clip. Submit entrees to: crooksandliarsvideo@gmail.com Get them in as soon as possible. Also, feel free to make any other type of political ad. They will be considered as well. Good Luck and donate to our Blue America candidates if you can.
