Shenna Bellows, probably the one person most responsible for bringing Equal Marriage to Maine was ignored by the Human Rights Campaign this week when they laughably endorsed Republican "bucket of lukewarm water," Senator Susan Collins. The left was outraged but, who is going to do something about it? We hope you.

Blue America was one of the first groups outside of Massachusetts to endorse and start raising small contributions for Elizabeth Warren. She kept up with Brown and she beat him and in the end she won 56% of the votes. She's a beacon of inspiration for us today. And she very much reminds me of another woman from New England, Maine's Shenna Bellows, taking on a popular Republican incumbent.

We've had some real "REAL" Democratic primary wins this past week: Ted Lieu (CA), Pat Murphy (IA), Bonnie Watson Coleman (NJ) Now it's time to really get to work to elect more and better (Blue America) Progressive Democrats!

One of the most critical primaries coming up next week is for Henry Waxman's House seat on the Westside of Los Angeles-- Santa Monica, Venice, Malibu, Beverly Hills, Redondo Beach… Blue America did a dual endorsement for a jungle primary that will yield two finalists for the November general election, hopefully two stalwart progressives.

And her first endorsement of a challenger for the 2014 cycle, fellow Californian and peace advocate, Lee Rogers. One of the dirty little secrets of Congress is that many of them legislate in areas in which they are utterly bereft of knowledge. If ignorance is bliss, then some of the Members must be deliriously happy. (No wonder Sen. Ted Cruz is always smiling!)
